Tenacity Taekwondo
Head Instructor & Founder
I didn't just study Taekwondo — I lived it at the highest level. As a 5-time US National Champion in Olympic-style sparring, a 5-time member of Team USA, and an international medalist, I've competed on the world stage, faced the best athletes on the planet, and learned what it truly takes to perform under pressure.
I hold a Kukkiwon-certified black belt — the official certification body of World Taekwondo — which means my training and rank meet the highest international standards in the sport. That foundation is what I bring to every class I teach.
But credentials only tell part of the story. What drives me every day is watching a student click with a technique they've been struggling with, seeing a shy kid walk taller after earning their next belt, or hearing a parent say their child won't stop talking about class. That's what this is really about.
I opened Tenacity Taekwondo because I believe every person — regardless of age, background, or ability — deserves a coach who sees them as an individual and invests in their growth. I'm here to celebrate your wins, push you through the hard days, and make sure you always feel like you belong on this mat.
"Every student who walks through that door deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and pushed to be their best."

Earned medals at international competitions representing the USA — bringing world-class experience and perspective that goes beyond domestic competition.
Holds an official Kukkiwon black belt certification — the governing body of World Taekwondo and the gold standard for rank recognition worldwide.
Bringing championship-level coaching to Princeton, TX — investing in every individual student and helping each one feel seen, celebrated, and challenged.
How I Coach
I hold every student to a high standard — not because I expect perfection, but because I know what people are capable of when they're pushed with purpose. Championship habits start on day one.
I know every student by name, by their goals, and by what makes them tick. No one gets lost in the crowd here. Whether it's a first kick or a national title, your wins get celebrated — loudly.
Taekwondo is a vehicle. The real goal is developing discipline, resilience, confidence, and character — qualities that make you better on the mat and in every other area of life.
TRAINING THE NEXT GENERATION OF CHAMPIONS
The Tenacity Difference
I've trained at big gyms where students cycle through without anyone knowing their name. That's not what I built here. At Tenacity, I invest in every individual — learning what motivates you, what challenges you, and what kind of encouragement helps you grow.
When you earn a new belt, we celebrate it. When you nail a technique you've been working on for weeks, I notice. When you show up on a hard day and push through anyway — that gets recognized too. Progress looks different for every student, and every version of it matters.
My goal is simple: every student leaves class feeling better than when they walked in — more capable, more confident, and more connected to this community.
First kick, first belt, first competition — no milestone is too small. We celebrate progress at every level because every step forward matters.
I know your name, your goals, and your challenges. Classes are structured, but coaching is personal. You'll never feel invisible here.
From 4-year-olds to adults, from beginners to competitors, from neurotypical students to those with autism — everyone has a place at Tenacity TKD.
Celebration and high standards go hand in hand. I'll cheer your wins and push you toward the next one — because I know what you're capable of.
We focus exclusively on Olympic-style sparring — the same discipline used in the Olympic Games. This specialization means deeper technique, better competition preparation, and a clearer path to excellence.
You won't find many schools in Texas — or the country — where the head instructor has 5 national titles and 5 Team USA appearances. That experience is in the room every single class.
Our autism-friendly program isn't an afterthought — it's a core part of who we are. We believe every person deserves access to the benefits of martial arts training.
Princeton is home, and Tenacity TKD is a community. We know our students by name, celebrate their milestones, and show up for each other — on and off the mat.
See the difference championship coaching makes. Your first class is the first step toward something great.
